The
boys in the shops have been doing circus wagons for a while and
determined that circuses and carnivals just can't pull up to an outlet
and start the show. They need power. Most shows would have more than
one generator/power wagon. I can remember these units at the county
fair when I was child. A couple of things I remember was the diesels
sounded like they were running wide open and were very loud. There were
also cables snaking everywhere. This is a generator support wagon. It would carry tools, cables and switching equipment to supply the needs of the show. It will look great in a
circus parade ( well maybe not, this is a utility wagon but it has to
get to the circus lot somehow) , scene or riding a circus train.
Back
in the 80's I walked into a video store (if you don't know what this
was, ask your grandad) , I was looking for a movie for the night and
came across The Greatest Show on Earth. I checked it out was amazed by
the circus train wreck sequence. Being in HO scale at the time I
started buying anything circus I could find. This was before Ebay so it
was tough. Anyway 40 years later I'm in N scale and still love that
movie. As a matter of fact a friend of mine who did Hollywood special
effects including the Terminator series, did a frame by frame analysis
of the footage. Obviously the models were much larger than N scale.
Since I can do 3-d design now I've been doing a lot of circus models.
These are all printed and unpainted. You can paint and decal for any
circus you like most of these are based on Ringling Bros equipment.
I'll be adding more as time permits. Some flash removal is required,
Some models will require basic assembly. Each listing is for one item
unless otherwise specified. Pictures with painted trucks are N scale.
Since most
modelers like to buy more than one item, I'm glad to combine
shipping. You should never pay more than $5.99 in total. With that
said, you can request an invoice or contact me to make arrangements to
adjust shipping.
