An interesting set of webbing equipment, produced in limited numbers and in limited capacities between the World Wars. Issued to RAF auxiliary personnel who were responsible for airfield defence. You can read more about it on the prestigious website 'Karkee Web': http://www.karkeeweb.com/patterns/1925/1925_introduction.html

This particular set is a pistol order combination, complete with matching parts all issued to the same airman, Woods 573562. All pieces are stamped with the Air Ministry (A.M.) issuance and dated 1939 to 1940. The set consists of:
- Belt (the 1925 pattern had a unique belt that was made of three individual pieces)
- Brace attachments
- Cross straps (male and female)
- Pistol pouch
- Ammunition pouch
- Water bottle carrier
- Water bottle
- Two-part large park (requires some fiddling to assemble correctly, read more about in on the link in the above description)

I have also included a blue pistol lanyard, blue 37 pattern webbing rifle sling and a pair of RAF-blue blanco dyed rifle ammunition pouches. These three items did not come with the set originally, but I have no need for them and so I have added them to the webbing set as a lot.

Everything is in good and usable condition. The pack has some dirt stains on the rear, and unfortunately a hole in the bottom front, but this is obscured when the pack is full and assembled. The pistol holster also has some slight white stain around the press-stud (I assume that airman Woods was not very proficient in polishing his brass, or another owner after him).

Overall a unique and rare set of webbing in decent issued condition. Ideal for an RAF re-enactor who doesn't fancy the flying, or a collector of obscure webbing.
