There are two general ways to use this product

1.Separate the data and power interface of the SATA hard drive,link the SATA interface of the motherboard and the power cable, you can directly link.

Before using the SATA motherboard,you must set part of the motherboard in the BIOS for AHCI mode(optional RAID mode when doing RAID).

2.Separate the data and power interface of SAS HDD,link the SAS interface SFF-8482 on the motherboard and the power cable,you can connect directly.

Note:

This product can not be used for SAS hard drive to connect to the SATA interface of a normal motherboard,there is no such line

SAS interface is supported by the chip, there is no such line can be achieved,please confirm clearly

Unless your SAS hard drive supports SATA mode,or SATA motherboard has a SAS chip
