A guaranteed authentic and rare antique Japanese one mon bronze coin minted in Tokyo around 1650.  

The mon () was the currency of Japan from the Muromachi period in 1336 until the early Meiji period in 1870. The Kanji for mon is  and the character for currency was widely used.  The hole was used as a means of stringing together a group of coins.  The circle reperesents earth and the square hole heave.

Overall, with the exception of some minor signs of age(warm aged patina), this coin is in very fine condition with minimal wear, a very clear strike and having all original patina.  Measures 1" in diameter (5 cm).
