Really beautiful 1920s salvaged panel from ladies silk coat.  This was the bottom hem of the garment.  The design, workmanship and color palette are extraordinary.  It is an appliqued tableau, with trapunto (padded) detail in some areas and embroidered motif surrounding it. The full piece is roughly 13" by 50", some slight tapering in shape from top to bottom of it.  There is wear to the silk at the bottom edge, as shown in 2 photos.  Also, a few small tears within, as pointed out, because the silk is fragile from age.  Some musty smell to the fabric.
