This typewriter has been tested and while it does currently work, it will need repaired to continue working. It makes a loud banging noise when powered on. It doesn't always power on either. Sometimes it requires a few tries and most times it requires taking the top off and pushing on the clutch to get it started. I think the hub pulley is cracked or slipping and it's a fairly extensive repair from what I've read. It's in excellent physical condition with only a few paint chips from use. It would display very well with the included original cover!LOC: P4
