An original antique 1889 copy of "Address of Isaac H. Bromley at the Unveiling of the Statue of Maj. John Mason at Fort Hill, Mystic, Conn., June 26, 1889."  Mason, of course, led the infamous Mystick Massacre of a village of Pequod Native Americans and the speech is entitled "Maj. John Mason, The Deliverer of New England." This statue was originally placed at the scene of the massacre and later removed to Windsor, CT.  This booklet offers insight into the thinking of the statue's creators in the late 1800s. Measures about 6" x 9", 34 pages, softcover.

Good condition as shown with typical antique wear and soiling to the cover, which is still a nice blue color. The binding is tight and the pages are not brittle and are free or writing, tears and folds.
