1958 FC SPECIAL

For Restoration.

I recently bought this car with the intention of restoring it myself, but it does require more work than I expected.

This is an Adelaide assembled car that was imported to the UK in 1999 and has been UK registered.

Import papers, an old V5 and the original owners manual are included.

It has the standard grey 132 cubic inch, 6 cylinder motor with 'three on the tree', column shift manual transmission.

It has been sat in a barn for well over 20 years here in the UK.

The body is fine with some areas of rust. Floor pans are solid.

Interior is all original. The rear seat has a split in the top seam and the rubber floor mats need replacing.

The front left struts are rusty along with the lower inner fender apron.

Rear bumper bar is toast and will need replacing.

No keys are present, so I can't open the boot. The motor has been started recently with petrol down the carburettor.

All door locks and latches are seized and need to be taken apart and oiled so they function. The window regulators are also hard to operate and need greasing.

This is a worthwhile project for restoration. You'll definitely have the only one at any UK show.

The Salmon and White colour combination was always a nice one to see on the road back in Oz when I was growing up.
