Clean 1965 production red dot Nikon F with working Photomic meter prism and 50mm f/1.4 lens & factory cap with leather ready case. The red dot indicates that the body was modified to take the meter which was matched to the body. The camera has but one small dent on the top cover in front of the shutter speed dial. Which can be seen in the photos.
THE MIRROR IS CRACKED but you can't see it looking looking though the viewfinder. You can see it in the photos. If it was my camera I would just use it and keep an eye out for a replacement, or maybe not even that. Functionally the cracked mirror makes no difference at all because, as I said, you can't see it. The mirror seal has been replaced. The shutter fires at all speeds and seems in the ball park. The film chamber and shutter curtains look good. The self timer and frame counter work.
The meter was tested using a 625 battery not a mercury cell. However it read correctly. The battery chamber is clean with no corrosion. As you can see in the photos it comes with the spot tube for the meter, but not the incident dome, those are usually gone by the wayside. It has an A screen in it
The lens is really nice. The glass is clear with no fungus or haze. The focusing barrel turns smoothly. The aperture ring turns easily and works correctly. The aperture stops down correctly. Both the lens and the camera still have the JCII inspection stickers on them.

In spite of the mirror, this is one of the nicer Fs that we have had in a while. I suspect it has lived in its case the whole time. There are no strap ring marks on the top plate or strap lugs. A great camera that is ready to use.
