SML 'Standard' Model Tenor Saxophone SN 2470 HISTORIC COLLECTION

This is an AWESOME SML professional tenor saxophone. 

The SML saxes are the 'other' French saxophone and have a very strong following of dedicated players. They blow LOUD and have that sweet tone quality that can be so hard to find. This sax is in very nice condition. Original silver plate is 90% present and looks good. This horn has just been shop adjusted and is ready to play. Older rivet style pads seat well.

Provenance: The Historic Collection. This is from the collection of a well-known researcher and historian of woodwinds who spent a lifetime collecting rare and unique instruments. We are privileged to offer items from this collection for sale.

As this instrument is historically interesting, we have chosen to not initiate any restoration work, leaving that to the eventual owner. We expect that this instrument will need pad and keywork to be playable.
