Per request I’ve added UPS Ground, a significantly lower shipping option, but if you prefer USPS Priority you must request it, as I can’t add 2 international shipping options to the listing.

I believe these are Mario Lemieux’s backup pair, for the 2004 World Cup of Hockey, which many say Wayne Gretzky with help from Coach Pat Quinn, and team captain Mario Lemieux, put together the most complete team in hockey, composed of not just tremendous skill, but also key role players.

Despite a bad start in the “preseason”, once the tournament started they swept the Preliminary round, then swept the Championship Bracket, to go undefeated winning the World Cup on home ice in Toronto, the hottest ticket of the century!

It was the second installment of the NHL sanctioned competition, eight years after the inaugural 1996 World Cup, and games were held all over North America and Europe.

These are the identical model, but have a slight difference in color pattern from his primary set (see photos), likely so he and the equipment managers could quickly determine which to grab first.

The gloves were not used in action, but were likely tried on by Mario, stick-handled to ensure fitment, movement range, as a tiny amount of tape residue is on a couple fingers of the left glove.

The palms are extremely soft, like they just left the factory, and the exterior, which I presume is leather, feels very smooth.

The traditional CCM logo embroidered on the cuff, appears to be of the finest of threads.

The palm exterior has a very durable additional tan layer of high quality, likely a custom request as Mario didn’t go through many gloves, preferring to break a set in, making them last.

These would make for an exceptional display piece, on a desk, shelf, or above a fireplace hung with a couple sher-wood twigs!

Of the nearly 500 sets of gloves stored in a climate controlled room, roughly 50 are from Pens who didn’t take all their mitts with them for the off-season.

See my other listings, I am able to combine ship most items.

After repeated requests, I’ll be listing the holy grail Eagle H35.

For a short time I tested equipment, and exchanged gear with former teammates, accumulating and keeping the most uncommon gloves and other gear.

CCM, Easton, Nike, Warrior, Eagle, etc, mostly from 1998-2012.

I also received a few full goalie setups, some of which is Koho.

If looking for specific Models of equipment, please provide photo examples . . . I can no longer recall all the model names, plus some names were used repeatedly year after year, despite design changes.
