Model and Prototype Info: This auction is for a limited-run powered craftsman kit to build a DRGW gas motor car. It is an accurate model the Rio Grande's experimental car #592. It was built by the DRGW's Burnham Shops from an older wooden combine. It had 2 6-cylinder engines powering a generator and traction motors. There are a few excellent photos of the car on the internet that I cannot post here but available using Google search. - Robust brass mechanism with metal wheels, die cast truck frames.
- Well done instructions for building the power truck and a separate set of instructions for the building the truck body.
Model Condition:
This model comes from the personal collection of a friend with health issues who recently passed away. The kit is unstated. I reviewed how the mechanism is built and all the major parts are there. I did not open the 3 sealed packets for smaller parts. Instructions are included. Original Box and packing are included. Use Ebay Messaging for comments or questions
