The Bermuda Olympic team has been using the
longtail seabird in their logo since at least the
2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The
logo has evolved slightly over time, with minor
changes to its design, but the use of the longtail
bird as a prominent element in the logo has
remained consistent. The Bermuda Olympic
Association has stated that the longtail bird is an
important symbol of Bermuda's culture and
heritage, and it is fitting that it is included in the
country's Olympic logo.
