A centre-pull ball of approximately 80/20 percent Merino/Silk yarn spun from dyed-in-the-wool batts in purple, pink and blue. The batts were blended on a drum carder using 21 micron hand dyed Merino and hand dyed mulberry silk.

This yarn was spun on my Ashford Traditional spinning wheel as a 2ply yarn and is a fingering weight (approximately 14 WPI). It will make a drapey fabric, is soft enough for next to skin wear (for people who are not too sensitive to wool) and would be lovely made into an accessory, or as a feature colour work yarn in a garment, blanket, weaving etc.

As it contains a high percentage of pure wool, the finished item should be hand washed in cold or cool water in a wool friendly detergent and laid flat to dry.

The ball of yarn weighs approximately 125g and is about 350m in length.
