My grandad bought this car back in 1989 and used it until he died in 2012. It was sitting on my Grandmas drive until I decided to resurrect it. I’ve been working on the sporadically over the last couple of years and enjoyed doing so but it’s now got to go (my dad’s decision, not mine!)!In that time I’ve done:

• Welding repairs to underside of car
• New brakes all rounds
• New exhaust
• New tyres
• New handbrake cable
• Various bits of trim
• A proper clean and a machine polish! (The first few photos of the listing was when I had done this, could do with another going over now!)
• New wipers
• New bulbs ensuring all lights work
• New boot gas struts

There were three failures on the last MOT:

• Emissions; mixture can be adjusted using a long 3mm Allen key
• Number plate light (now working)
• Battery insecure (which they guy actually fixed on the test itself 

There is one remaining running issue with the car, where it isn’t running correctly when warm. Starts cold absolutely fine but then when it’s warm splutters on throttle input and dies. I’m sure it’s something fairly simple that a Volvo specialist could sort, but alas I am not one of them! To note, it hasn’t always had this issue since I took on the car; it has mostly been running well. 

Other:

- The rear O/S window needs replacing (I wasn’t aware of this until my dad took some pics of the car for me)

Absolutely sure there is plenty of life left in this car and with a relatively low mileage, it would be such a shame if this was used for parts. Get that engine warm up issue sorted and it’ll be a great car I’m sure!!
