The Lone Ranger Wild West set is a 19-th Century themed train set with lots of action and fun. The engine is a 4-4-0 steam locomotive modeled after the type of engines used in the mid-1800s. It has a plastic body, metal frame, operating headlight, forward and reverse, and smoke. There are two switches on the back of the cab, one to turn the smoke unit on and off, and the other to lock the engine in one direction. The engine's tender features Trainsounds, which is an advanced sound system featuring steam chugging sounds, a realistic whistle and bell sounds. It even has different sounds of the crewmen talking! The chugging sound is synchronized to the speed of the train, and the other sounds are controlled by buttons on the transformer. The tender also has an operating coupler on the rear. The cars in the set match the Old West theme of the engine. There is a flatcar with wood sides and a removable crate load, which is a brand new design from Lionel. There is also a Lone Ranger and Outlaw car, which features the outlaw and Lone Ranger 'shooting it out' as the train moves down the track. Lastly there is a baggage car with Wild West sounds (9 volt battery required). The cars all have plastic bodies, die-cast 19th-century style archbar trucks with operating couplers. The couplers can be opened automatically using a remote uncoupling track section (available separately). Also included with the set are six die-cast horse figures as well as Lone Ranger and Tonto figures. The set includes the standard 40 by 60 loop of Fastrack, consisting of eight 36-inch diameter curved sections, three 10-inch straight sections, and 10 terminal track section. The transformer is a 80-watt CW80 transformer. Domestic Customers: If you and Trainz decide that the best recourse is to return the item for refund or repair we will send you a pre-paid return call tag at no cost (except for returns due to customer remorse). Make sure to include your contact and order information when you return your items. Once Trainz receives and inspects the items we will repair your item or issue a refund.
