For more than 60 years, Moog theremins have captured the imagination of performers and audiences alike.

For the past 20 years, Moog's Etherwave Standard and Etherwave Plus have raised the bar for performance in theremin design.

Now, the best-selling theremin has been updated and reborn as the Etherwave Theremin.
Manipulate sound without touching it

The theremin, which has no reeds, keys, or strings, completely overturns the image of the instrument. Since the instrument is played simply by the movement of the body when approached, it gives the impression that music is being summoned from the heavens. The hands, body, environment, and instrument come together, allowing performers to achieve unprecedented expression.

Bob Moog was drawn to the theremin's elegant simplicity and unparalleled expressiveness, and he built his first theremin at age 14 and completed his last theremin design at age 70. The new Etherwave Theremin continues this heritage with a sophisticated design for the modern theremin player.
Faithful reproduction of Bob Moog's theremin design

The accurate 5-octave range and well-balanced note intervals provide advanced playability. The analog electronics have been updated to improve bass response while retaining Bob Moog's theremin circuit design.

The sophisticated cabinet features hand-finished hardwood and a plated brass antenna that is easy to install and remove. Additionally, rear-panel I/O connections and a detachable mic stand adapter allow for quick setup.

Dynamically track and control analog audio processing directly from your theremin

Controls are easily accessible from the front panel, so you can vary the tone at will, and adjust the antenna response to suit the performer and environment (advanced users can use the calibration access on the top of the unit). -Further adjustments can be made from the panel).

The front panel features a headphone jack with dedicated volume and a mute button, allowing you to activate the headphone output and check sound quality and tuning while the main output is muted.

A completely new performance experience when connected to an analog synthesizer

Additionally, Etherwave Theremin can be directly connected and controlled to other modular, semi-modular and Eurorack synthesizers via the CV terminal. By connecting to the Etherwave Theremin's 3.5mm pitch CV, volume CV, and gate CV terminals, you can control synthesizers and effects while playing the theremin, giving you a completely new playing experience.

From beginners to seasoned pros, Etherwave Theremin offers outstanding sound, playability, and control, taking your sound to a new dimension.
