These are 2 lovely antique European door knockers. The smaller one is a 17-18th century wrought iron door knocker in an oval ring style. It is hand forged with gracefully, chased foliage motives on the front. The bulbous striking element at the bottom of the ring is also chisel chased.
The second, larger door knocker is18-19th century cast iron with traces of paint. Sometimes when doors were refinished or painted, the door knocker was also painted. It is also adorned with foliage motives and a bulbous striking element at the bottom.
