VICTORIAN hardback edition entitled “Curiosities
of Natural History,” subtitled “Third Series,” by Francis T. Buckland (1826-1880) M.A., commonly known as Frank Buckland, with 6 illustrations,
including a tissue-guarded frontispiece.
It was published
by Richard Bentley and Son, of London, in 1882 and is the Popular Edition.
The book measures 7
inches x 4.75 inches x 1.25 inches and has 353 pages (+ illustrations), which
are hand-cut to the top rims.
The book is in
good, internally neat condition for its age, with heavy wear around the spine (frayed/splits)
to the original cloth hardback cover. There are NO inscriptions/book-plates and
NO other ink or pencil markings in the book. The binding is good with no loose
or missing pages. There is no
dust-jacket.
