Fly Reel

This Hardy's "The St. George" fly reel measures 3 3/4 inches across and it is in "as found" condition.
It has "The St. George 3 3/4, Made By Hardy Bros. Ltd., England, Brit. Pat. No. 658472" impressed in to the back plate.
The ribbed brass foot is sturdy and well attached, as is the ebonite handle.
There are no cracks or chips to the agate line guide that I can find.
The rim regulator screw works fine.
The reel revolves well with a good smooth action with a constant check and the two screw release latch works well.
There is no play in the reel when the spool is rocked.
The metal line guide has a split along the bottom.
The reel has retained some of its' original finish, but, there are areas of loss, particularly around the rim, as well as the scratches, use and wear marks you would expect from a used item.
I have tried to show the condition in the photographs.
