"Bowman 234"
Live Steam Locomotive
with
LNER Tender.
This "Bowman 234" live steam locomotive comes with its' LNER tender and they are in "as found" condition.
The locomotive has retained much of its' green and black paintwork, however, there are some losses in places, particularly, to the tender and loco cab, there are also the surface rust blemishes, scuffs, tarnishing, scratches and marks that you would associate with a played with item of this age.
The tender has its' lining, letters and numbers to both sides, these have a fair colour.
The "Bowman" logos to the loco cab have rubbed away.
The buffers and couplings are present to both, but the tender coupling is missing a piece.
The cab roof to the loco has become unsoldered.
I have tried to show the condition in the photographs.
The detachable meths burner appears to be free from any holes or rust, but this doesn't have its' weight and there is something rattling around inside it.
I haven't tested the locomotive, so I am not sure if it is in working order, however, the wheels are well attached and move well, as do the pistons.
I am unsure if there are any internal issues.
The locomotive measures approximately 31 cm (12 1/4 inches) long.
