Partially Maintained Refurbished HH Scott LC-21 for sale.  The unit works well and sounds good with some caveats.  The volume control has some scratchy sections which cannot be remedied by cleaning, however, much of the volume range works fine and there are only as few places in the range where this is an issue.  When the phase switch is switched to "reverse", the right channel cuts out but it works fine in the normal position.

The unit has been partially refurbished which includes new 716P coupling caps, replacement of plate resistors with matched carbon and metal film, c0g input coupling caps, new filter and cathode bypass electrolytic caps  (original cans left in place for original appearance),  heater and other re-wiring.  Removal of the wiring from the power switch / volume control as the original configuration was a source of noise (I currently switch the unit on via power strip), replacement of other resistors for metal film to reduce noise, cleaning of controls, tube sockets, etc..and more.  The main goals of the refurbishment was to be able to hear the sound of the circuit vs the attendant noise and distortion of the old parts.

The tube compliment is old stock American tubes; running hours unknown.

Regarding the appearance, there are plenty of imperfections so please check the photos.  Lettering has faded in areas on the faceplate. It comes with the original wood cabinet.

The unit is not perfect and I've done my best to describe any known issues but since we are dealing with vintage, kit built electronic here, understand you are purchasing the item "as is".
