The Nikon F5 is a professional-level SLR camera, produced by Nikon from 1996 through 2004. It has many advanced features, and handles more like a modern DSLR camera, rather than a film camera. Some of the notable features include 3D colour matrix metering, a self-adjusting shutter (self-diagnostic), a mirror-balance system, an electronic shutter with a very wide range of speeds (30s to 1/8000s), a built-in motor-drive capable of 8 frames per second, a rapid power rewind system, 1/300s maximum flash sync speed, and an advanced autofocus system, among many other useful camera features.

This camera is compatible with nearly all full-frame Nikon F-mount lenses ever made (including modern "Gelded" lenses and AF-S lenses), with the exception of the very first pre-Ai models of the 1950's and 1960's. It is also compatible with the VR system (vibration reduction system) of any lens that is equipped with such a system.

This camera is in near-mint condition, and is a later model, having a serial number of 3213681. The camera was tested with film, and is fully operational. There are two ways to power the camera; with the included rechargeable battery, or with simple alkaline batteries. A charger is included for the rechargeable battery, and is capable of charging two batteries at once (although only one battery is included). Also included is an original F5 body cap, and covers for the hot-shoe and flash sync socket.

Please send me a message if you have any other questions about the operation or condition of this camera. Please note that this listing is for a camera body only; no lenses are included.
