Awaiting your purchase is a rare Dutch 833 silver Art Deco drinking cup or beaker made by the famous silversmith and leading Art Deco designer Cornelis L. J. Begeer of Utrecht in 1910 for his company Stichtse Fabriek van Zilverwerken. It is marked to the base with his maker's mark of a B with two stars, the date letter C for 1910, and Dutch marks for 833 silver and the Utrecht assay office. Of a classically simple design, the beaker flares slightly towards a double rim at the lip above a floral band of four leafed clover three quarters of the way up. It is engraved in script to one side "E N C M 10 Sept 1912". This beautiful item remains in very good antique condition, with age-appropriate wear (see condition description). A very special find!
