Scottsdale 5 oz Tombstone Nugget Bar

These Tombstone Nugget Silver bullion bars are unique among the large selection of bars on the market. Each is shaped to resemble the silver nuggets, which were mined in the old Arizona Territory during the later 1800's. These were the days when lawlessness was on the rise, and the dusty town of Tombstone found itself named quite appropriately.

Each bar is intentionally produced slightly different from the next. Although all are heavily dimpled on both sides, and the the edges are rough and irregular, the sizes and shapes a slightly different. These are very attractive, and the bold block lettering of the inscriptions add to the 1800's period style.

The obverse has emblazoned into the heavily dimple surface the engraved inscription, "TOMBSTONE" in large bold lettering, with "Arizona Territory," much smaller, immediately below. In mid-sized lettering towards the lower half of the bar is inscribed, "Silver Nugget."

The reverse has engraved into the deeply dimpled finish the metal's .999 fineness and weight in large, bold block lettering. This side is oriented horizontally across the length of the bar. Also, the distinctive Scottsdale Mint's seal, featuring the regal, Crowned Lion's Head logo is prominently engraved.

A Certificate of Authenticity issued by the Scottsdale Mint, along with a draw-string canvass bag accompanies each bar. The bag is also printed with "TOMBSTONE, Arizona Territory."
