The "Trinity" candlestick was used for ceremonial, domestic and liturgical purposes and also served as a folk icon. The Trinity is a sign of faith and the arrival of God. This version of the candlestick is based on a folk motif and features a "six-petaled flower" in the center, symbolizing the Eucharistic bread or manna, its Old Testament archetype. Above is the cherub that overshadowed the Ark of the Covenant. The base of the ornamented candlestick bears a design resembling blooming Aaron's rod.
