Flirting with her Carnevale mask, this Art Deco figure is costumed as a Spanish Lady, a popular theme in the 1930s. Her finely painted, lovely features - long lashed eyes and Cupid mouth -- are complemented by a graceful gown draped with a Spanish shawl detailed with flowers and fringe.
Pretty hands hold her mask and a flower. She measures 11 1/2 inches tall, 6 3/4 inches wide, 5 3/8 inches deep.
She is signed and made by Agostinelli-Dal Pra (1887-1952), known as one of the finest porcelain factories is Nove (vicenza), Italy, near Venice. Figure is impressed ITALY and carries the sword and AD factory mark and the V in cartouche for Vicenza under the glaze.
Ver fine vintage condition with one tiny flake (repaired)on top curl of hair.
