Back in the 1990's I attended the Firehouse parade when it was in Charlotte NC.  I was in the beginning stages of shopping for an older apparatus to buy.  One of the trucks that was in the parade was a 1953 Ford F-6 with a Howe fire body.  While not as spectacular some of rigs that day,  you couldn't help but love it.  Fast forward a few years and I found it in the yard of a welding shop.  It had been sold off by its original fire department and had ended up there.  A few months later I got a Christmas bonus. I had been a pretty good boy that year and decided maybe Santa should bring me a fire truck for Christmas.  I went up the shop with cash in hand to make an offer.  The owner didn't want to deal with me holding out for some rich fire truck collector from up north.  I went back a year or so later and the truck and welding shop were all gone.  It's probably razor blades now. I've not seen any evidence of it anywhere.  Wherever you are I still love you but don't have the time or space.   The following model is sort of a tribute to that truck and the Tonka Ford F-800  of many of our childhoods.

Many fire truck builders used many an F body chassis as a starting point for a fire truck.  Service was as far away as a Ford dealer.  This was a good choice for many small town and volunteer departments  starting out in the 1950's.  The Ford/Howe had been the first truck of its department.
This is an unpainted 3-d print of a F body Ford with a generic fire body.  It comes with separate ladders.  It will look great at a fire scene, parade, or fire house.  Many of these trucks served for 40 years finishing up as reserve engines and parade pieces.  It comes with separate ladders.

Someone contacted me about older apparatus, check out my other auctions cause I'm putting out a bunch of new older pieces going back to horse drawn.

I'll be adding more as time permits.  Some flash removal is required, Some models will require basic assembly.  Each listing is for one item unless otherwise specified.  Pictures with painted trucks  are N scale.

Since most modelers like to buy more than one item,  I'm glad to combine shipping.  You should never pay more than $5.99 in total.  With that said, you can request an invoice or contact me to make arrangements to adjust shipping.
