She was built by Bremer Vulkan, Vegesack, Germany for the North German Lloyd Line. Her tonnage was 15,286 GT and dimensions of 549'x69'. Twin-screw, 16.5 knots, triple expansion engines, two masts and two funnels.

Sunk by a mine in Swinemunde Bay early in 1945 and salvaged by the Russians in 1949. Renamed ADMIRAL NAKHIMOV.
