BALMORAL CASTLE (1910..1939)

Built by Fairfield Shipbuilding Co., Glasgow, Scotland for the Union-Castle Line. Her tonnage was 13,361 Gt with dimensons of 570'x64'. Twin-screw, 17 knots, quadruple expansion engines, two masts and two funnels. Her service routes were Southampton-Capt Town with 317 first and 220 second and 288 third class passengers. Scrapped in 1939. She was the sister shp of the EDINBURGH CASTLE.
