The mibenco® RIM FOIL is a removable, sprayable film for quick and easy coating of rims. The RIM FOLIE+ is a kind of topping and gives the RIM FOIL base white matt/glossy that certain something - an individual and cool design!

RIM FOIL products are durable, abrasion-resistant and car wash-proof and stick to aluminum and steel rims. RIM FOIL & RIM FOIL+ are resistant to weather influences, salts, acids and oils as well as many chemicals. In addition, it is removable. RIM FOLIE+ must be sprayed onto a RIM FOIL base!

A notice: 1 can of RIM FOLIE+ with 400ml is enough for 2 rims up to 17 inches. We recommend that you only visit the car wash again after 2 weeks of curing time.

Instructions for the correct use of RIM FOIL + effect set

1. Find a suitable environment

The The optimal processing temperature is 21 – 23 °C. In the winter months, we therefore recommend an application room that is heated, offers enough space and good ventilation or, ideally, a painting booth.

In the summer months, the rims can also be coated outside. Avoid direct sunlight.

The wheels should be sprayed while they are removed (the tire does not need to be removed from the rim).

2. Have the necessary accessories ready

This includes e.g. b. duct tape, Paint mask (so that you don't inhale any solvents), Disposable gloves, RIM FOIL fan template, mibenco Sprayboy and old newspapers.

3. Pre-clean the surface to be coated

Before coating, the surface must be dry, smooth, clean and free of separating substances.

Any dirt between the surface and the liquid rubber coating can result in an uneven result. Here we recommend ours mibenco® PRE-CLEANER.

The RIM FOLIE+ is an effect set. There must be a RIM FOIL base on the rim to which RIM FOLIE+ can be applied.

The neon effect set has a white base, matt or glossy. For the metallic, pearl and chameleon effect set, the black base is matt or glossy.

4. The surface must be dry

After cleaning, dry the surface well. We recommend our mibenco® MICROFIBER CLOTH. Avoid textiles with logos and motifs or paper towels as these can scratch the surface.

5. Tape off surfaces not to be coated

Although RIM FOLIE+ is easily removable, you should make your work easier by masking off surfaces that do not need to be coated. This includes: Tape the valve with adhesive tape and protect the tire using the fan template provided.

6. Prepare liquid rubber

Shake the can vigorously for about 2 minutes before useso that the pigments can combine with the liquid rubber.

7. Spray in several coats

RIM FOIL+ in Spray at least 2-3 coats evenly onto the RIM FOIL base. Attention: A primer with RIM FOIL as a base is absolutely necessary!

8. Pay attention when spraying

Spray RIM FOIL+ evenly (in the cloister) in the field of vision and make sure that approx. Keep a distance of 15 to 20 cm from the rim. Sufficiently coat even hard-to-reach areas. Each spray film layer approx. Allow to dry for 10 - 15 minutes until the next coat can be applied.

9. Spray additional coats

Please repeat the process with each spray layer.

10. Remove tape, fan template and newspaper

Immediately after the final application (last coat), remove any tape, fan stencils and newspaper that you used as a cover. This must be done when the last layer is still wet, otherwise you will remove the liquid rubber with it.

11. Pay attention to drying time

From this point on, the RIM FOIL+ needs approx. 6-7 hours until completely hardened. During this time, avoid any contact with the coated surface. You can use the (textile) car wash again after about 2 weeks.

The return also extends to oil filters and oil-containing waste that occurs regularly when changing the oil.
