It is such a charming, small painting, and there is the faintest of signature on the front but impossible to make out. I decided to remove it from the frame, and there was very faint writing on the back, and none of the words are legible. It is very much in the style of Henry Hengstler and it did come from an estate where I purchased three other paintings by the artist that were clearly signed. The other paintings I have by the artist are watercolors and the signatures held up over time. I’m selling this painting as in the style of which if you look up his work, it definitely is similar. Regardless of who the artist is, it is an amazing small painting with large cherry, blossom trees, and a small figure in the forefront. It measures approximately 11 x 8 1/2” framed and the viewable image size is approximately 8 1/2 x 6“. Thanks for your interest.
