Vintage Silver & Enamel City of London Crest Keyring
A
lovely solid silver keyring featuring enamelled crest for the City of
London. Fully hallmarked to the keyring indicating it was assayed for
silver at Birmingham, in 1969, by noted London wholesale jeweller's,
S.J.Rose & Son. The silver fob is marked to the reverse for sterling
alongside the makers mark of Birmingham jeweller's W.J.Sutton. A second
lion passant mark, (for English Sterling silver), is on the locking
lever and a third on link to chain; confirming all component parts of
this keyring are solid silver. Fob measures approx 22mm in diameter and
is in excellent unpolished condition with no loss of enamel, a nicely
aged patina and minimal signs of wear commensurate with age. Presented
as found in vintage jewellers presentaion box from H.Samuel (For Fine
Jewellery).
