Presented today we have a very fine example of a vintage stainless steel Roamer Vanguard 315 automatic. This Swiss mechanical marvel is powered by the beautiful in-house MST 471 28 jewel automatic movement. This fantastic movement has been disassembled, cleaned, oiled and is keeping excellent time. This movement is nestled snuggly in its 36mm wide without the original signed crown and 39mm lug to lug stainless steel case. As mentioned this Roamer does have the original polished signed crown which matches the gorgeously polished case sides perfectly. The bezel seat is a wonderful brushed concentric pattern and topped off with a classic fluted bezel. The plated fluted bezel has a mixture of aged silver and golden hues which gives this timepiece that extra bit of vintage nostalgia we all love. The caseback is a polished screwdown caseback with all appropriate engraved logoing text clear and crisp. The case has 20mm lugs and is fitted to a brand new 20mm stitched black leather two piece strap with silver tone buckle. This strap ensures a great look and a comfortable, secure fit to almost any wrist. Additionally as an added bonus I am including a second strap and that is a vintage steel mesh bracelet with folding locking clasp. This second strap can be used to interchange between a more classic look in the leather or a sportier look in the steel. Having options is always a plus when fitting an outfit together. There may be some light markings on the case from age as this watch was manufactured in the 1970s and ive done my best to show any but overall this case is in eye poppingingly great shape. Under the low domed scratch free acrylic crystal lies a remarkable navy blue dial. This gorgeous dial is what really draws the eye to this masterfully done piece. Blue is the color of impending goodtime summer vibes and this watch has it by the boatloads. The Roamer logo and Vanguard model text is done in white as well as the date window at 3 being framed in a matching white. All dial text is perfectly clear, crisp, and legible. The polished silver hands have functional lume and the extra bit of color pop is provided by a fire engine red sweep seconds hand. The indices surrounding the dial are raised and polished with the same white enamel accents displayed on the hands. There are a few age markings on the dial but as you can see nothing that would take away from the look of this great timekeeper. This colorful package is sure to impress any vintage watch lover. The date is a semi-quickset and advanced by turning the crown in time setting mode from 8pm to midnight and back again until the correct date is displayed and time is set. All in all this is the next great Roamer that you will want to add to your vintage watch collection. Dont miss your opportunity to bring this great automatic Swiss timepiece home today.

I've tried my best to highlight the condition of this piece with the description as well as photos under a variety of light sources but please read the description and browse the photos to determine for yourself if this is the right watch for you. As a disclaimer for anyone unfamiliar with vintage timepieces I feel the need to also point out that even if gaskets have been replaced that any vintage antique watch should avoid contact with water no matter what the case says. Water tightness cannot be guaranteed after so many years and this must be stated. Any questions feel free to ask. Payment must be made within 24 hours of end of auction and no international shipping.
