Chamaedorea deckeriana: A beautiful small understory palm found in COSTA RICA, and in a few parts of PANAMA. It is a particularly attractive plant, and with it's scarcity it is much sought after by collectors. Like most understory Chamaedorea's, it prefers a sheltered, and moist but well drained position. Will grow in tropical through to warm, temperate regions and makes a wonderful houseplant specimen. Chamaedorea is a dioecious genus - meaning the male and female flowers occur on separate plants. The Greek is translated to mean "gift on the ground" - possibly referring to the small stature and pleasant surprise of finding such a gem at your feet.

Plant for sale is a well grown seedling "Similar" to the ones shown in the 7 photos in front of timber door in a 50mm by 100mm deep seedling pot, The other 4 photos are of more mature plants for reference purposes only.
