The United States-led invasion of the Republic of Iraq was the first phase stage of the Iraq War. The invasion phase began on 19 March 2003 and 20 March 2003 and lasted just over one month, including 26 days of major combat operations. 

The cover is cancelled with a well-struck pictorial postmark on 23 May 2003 at Rochester, NY 14692. and is franked with a 37c Flag stamp.
