1973 Convertable Ghia 80% restored   Price: 25000
1973 Convertible Karmann Ghia that has been under restoration for the last 13 years or so.
Body was taken down to bare metal and painted red, interior was completed 2 years ago with the best German top and interior material. Almost all new replacement parts from KGRP and other known VW houses. (5) New tires a year ago on powder coated original rims. Original bumpers re-chromed.
I have the engine but its in pieces ready to rebuild but you may want to do a EV or Subaru motor or upgrade VW to high performance. This car has been stored indoors for the last 20 years or so and was original in dry AZ then CA. There is no rust on the body or undercarriage.
This car has the potential to be a $45k+ car based on what I have seen on BAT. I have about $30k+ invested in it for paid parts, materials, paint and interior. Not looking for my hundreds of hours of personal work. I 'am not negotiable as any one who has done this quality of restoration on a nice car knows what it takes to get it to this point. Look at the pictures and see the quality. If you are looking for this style of Ghia and you don't want to wait a year or more to restore at a higher cost and you want to drive in a month or so this is your car.
All it needs is to finish installing the parts which are included and put in a motor of your choice. I don't have the time to work on it anymore so I 'am selling it as is with all new and old parts I have. I can send more high res pics if truly interested. I will be adding more pics up to 40 as allowed soon.
