DESCRIPTION This is a vintage 1819 John Elven Hoxne men's silver key wind pocket watch as shown. The watch comes with no papers, box, instructions, key etc. The watch has a clear enamel face as you can see. The number on the movement is 12910 with the text John Elven Hoxne. Inside the silver watch holder is a watch paper with a companies Framlingham Suffolk details on. The watch holder is hallmarked in various places Walking Lion (Standard Mark) IR (Maker) D (1819 Year Code) Leopards Head (London) and a letter "C" on its side. The inside of the watch is hallmarked the same.

CONDITION  I will leave you to decide; please look at the photos carefully. I think the general condition is good used collectable for the age. As you can see in the photos, there are general marks, user, rub, knocks, handling and storage marks etc, not 100% perfect. The general look could be improved with a careful clean. The watch is sold for spares or repairs as it is not working. A cog fell out and this will be sent with the watch, I do not know if there are other parts missing. Both hands are also loose and the watch and holder do not shut correctly. The watch paper is creased, fragile and has holes in it.
