This is for a beautiful old silver matchbook holder with a detailed sun design which represents the Matan calendar. It has a hinged lid and inside is space for a matchbook and a window to expose the rough strip to strike the matches. It is clearly marked '925 Sterling, plat.mex.sa. Hecho en Mexico' along with an eagle and it is in pristine excellent condition with no wear and no dents to the silver. It measures 50mm (2") x 39mm (1.5").
