The book dates to 2001, is in its original non-price-clipped dust jacket, and shows almost no evidence of wear. The introduction is by Franz Schulze. There is a facsimile signature from David Adler (1882-1949) on the half-title page. The book is "richly illustrated with archival and contemporary photographs and newly drawn floor plans of seventeen luxurious country houses and gardens commissioned by Adler's socially prominent clients."
