OBJECT// Antique Chinese carved soapstone very rare and highly intricate artists table chop seal, wonderful example with a beautiful top carved in shallow relief showing a dragon amongst bands of geometric patterns, the carving is refined and of the finest quality, importantly to the bottom is a four character seal mark, very much a scholars table object, taking something practical and useful like a small chop seal and elevating it into fine work of art in its own right which is worthy of contemplation and consideration. Dating from the late 18th century, Qing Dynasty object, genuine antique, serious collectors object.
