Fulper pottery two handled vessel


Stands 6” tall, is 6 1/2” in diameter, with a mouth opening of 3 5/8”.


Two color glaze finish; top half is a fuchsia and the bottom is green. Has a small chip on base or bottom of vessel. Please see photos. Very nice


New Jersey by a young man named Samuel Hill, a potter originally from New Brunswick, New Jersey. Upon Samuel Hill's death in 1858, pottery worker Abram Fulper began purchasing Hill Pottery from the Hill estate. By the 1860's the company now owned by Abram Fulper (also known as Abraham) was called Fulper Pottery. William Hill Fulper II, Abram Fulper's son continued the pottery after his passing during the 1880's. In about the 1900's Fulper's master potter John Kunsman began throwing a variety vases and jugs with simple solid color glazes. At the turn of the century both private collectors and public museums were scrambling his pottery.
