This is marked as a factory second.

Be sure and look at our other eBay listings to see a companion bust from an estate collection of Meissen figures that we are selling on eBay.  Whenever possible, we are always happy to combine your shipment into one box to save some money on shipping charges.  Over the last 20 years, we have safely shipped over 200 Meissen figurines all over the world.

MARKS:  Appropriate underglaze blue crossed swords. Colorless stamped number 57.  No apparent model number.  Remains of old paper labels.

Most reference sources date this mark to between 1850 and 1924.

This is marked as a factory second with a single hatch mark below the crossed swords.

CONDITION:   In good antique condition. Mentioned for the record, there is one minor firing crack to the underside, but no apparent or obvious flaws elsewhere.  See photos.

There are several typical small nicks, chips, and losses to the pine needles on the head.  There is also a faint scratch to the purple background on the backside, as well as a little rubbed spot to a fold of the drapery.  No repairs or restorations.

There might be some additional typical factory original manufacturing glaze imperfections, but none are visually obvious or distracting unless noted.

The condition has been examined under magnification and under black light.
