Rawlings PRO 12TC Heart of the Hide. Great classic Assembled in USA Horween 3 dot code.

This trapeze model was originally made for Stan Musial designated TG-12 available in the 1959 catalog to the general public. It was discontinued but later re-issued by request from Ozzie Smith which was later renamed PRO-12TC.

I’m told that this was a Don Morton special makeup where Rawlings had the patterns cut overseas and were assembled in the USA. They weren’t legally allowed to call it Made in USA as per industry regulations.

If you notice it still has the “powder” that is inherent to Horween leather that seeps out over time when the leather has not been conditioned except from the factory.

This glove is near mint, it is really super stiff and will need time to break in. Full disclosure, I’m not comfortable calling it new without tags because I’m unsure if the previous owner actually put a ball into the pocket.

No stink/odors. Thick laces are still in great condition. No rips, tears, cuts or sweat rot.
