On offer is a used MGB/MGB GT cylinder head; casting/serial number 12H4736 which is fitted to 1800cc engines from Sep 74 to Oct 80.

This particular head has an offset oil feed which must match the oil feed pillar on your original rocker shaft assembly, please check the oil feed before bidding to make sure that your rocker shaft assembly fits this head - please refer to photo’s’ which form part of the description.

This is an original 1977 head (believed to be unleaded as these heads were mainly for export cars to North America) with double valve springs and was removed from a good running engine to fit a stage 2 cylinder head. The valves are all sealing well but I would recommend cleaning and light lapping to ensure all is OK and should replace the stem oil seals as these are likely to be perished as it has stood for a long time at the back of the garage and will also need generally cleaning.
