A 19th Century French striking and repeating carriage clock from E. Maurice & Co, Paris c1890

This clock features a gilt brass corniche case with folding carrying handle, bevelled glass viewing panels, a numeral dial with recessed numbers and filigree centre, blue steel hands and a jewelled eight-day striking and repeating movement. The movement requires attention\service to run; the balance wheel turns free however stops after a few seconds, chime and repeat functions are not working (both springs are fully wound) there is some light case wear otherwise in good condition with key for winding and time adjust, as photographed.
