In this listing we have a really cute, but somewhat TLC doll dress. This outfit was originally sold with the iconic Sweet Sixteen Barbie from 1976. It consists of a pale pink dress with white polka dots, tulle sleeve caps, and white cording bow at the waist. This outfit is designed for the vintage sized body and will fit similar sized dolls. It closes in the back with a single metal snap. This listing is for the dress alone, the doll body shown is not included.

This doll dress is in TLC shape. It still has a lot of life left in it, but it’s very played with. I did wash the dress, but it could use a more in depth cleaning. The white polka dots are very washed out and very hard to see. A lot of them are chipped or flat out gone. I don’t see any stains.. The sleeve caps are very damaged. They have lots of snags, runs and frays. This fabric doesn’t stand up to a lot of play, and this one has a lot of play wear to it. On the left side of the neckline at the shoulder seam, there’s a small section where there’s some popped stitching along the hem. There are also some tangled threads. It looks like a sewing error at the factory. The cording in the front has come undone and one side is no longer tied. Three is also some minor fraying to the end of the cording. There are a couple of small dark spots to the front of the bodice near the cording. On the front right of the skirt where the main skirt meets the ruffle at the bottom, there’s a small section of popped stitching. The ruffle is coming off from the skirt in that spot. It looks fine now, but if the stitching come off more, more of the ruffle could come off. On the left side of the skirt at the hip the gathering stitching is too low and is visible. The original snaps are still attached, but the top one seems to be coming off and will need to be reinforced. There’s some excess threads at the back bottom hem of the skirt. There’s some small spots and other small marks. Please examine all pictures to see the exact condition of this doll outfit and please keep in mind some issues are more visible in person compared to pictures.
