This is an incredible huge ornate silverplate trophy from the 1913 Nebraska State Fair. Neat almost sculpture like form with graduated base and wide bowl top makes for an eye catching presentation. Triple handle design with each adorned on top in a winged tire motif. There is a large graphic engraving on the front which includes the line “Grand Champion Pair of Pigs Under Six Months of Age”. Stamped on the base Wallace Brothers which was a well known quality manufacturer of silverplate items.

Measures 14.25 inches high, 15 inches wide handle to handle and 15 inches deep. Nice heavy weight to it at 9 pounds! Good condition with darker aged patina, light dents/scratches. One of the wings is missing to the back handle. One of the wings has detached from the left front handle, it will be included and could be re-soldered in place. Overall, nothing that diminishes the substantial presentation. Please review the photos for further assessment.
