Hand written Indenture measuring 22½ inches by 22 inches continuing on to a second smaller leaf of vellum measuring 22 inches by 6 inches.

Pendant wax seal, slightly larger than average with the image of a crest.

 

People named in the agreement are:

•    Thomas Daye of the Town and County of Cambridge, Apothecary.

•    Thomas Stephens of the Town and County of Cambridge, Doctor in Divinity and Jane his wife.

 

Relates to the Grant and Release of all the Messuages and Cottages of Thomas Daye situate in Litlington in the County of Cambridge together with all houses, buildings, gardens and meadows belonging.

Includes a “Sheepes Walk” and pasturage of sheep in the fields and commons of Litlington.

 

CONDITION. Contents complete. Two tiny pin holes to left margin. Otherwise no holes or tears. Creasing to the right end of the lower turned up margin and a few small areas of darkening to vellum but good condition for a document of this age. Ink clear and free of fading. Wax seal almost complete - nice clear image of a crest.
