The
following grading system, i have graded my vinyl on, was based on
several different versions i have read about online, please read before
making your decision, any queries, please ask. I try and grade my vinyls
to the best of my ability, i have sold a few records on Ebay to people
all over the world with most of them appreciating my honesty.
GRADING
Mint (M) -
Absolutely perfect in every way. Certainly never been played, possibly
even still sealed. Should be used sparingly as a grade, if at all.
Near Mint (NM)
- A nearly perfect record. Many dealers won't give a grade higher than
this implying that no record is ever truly perfect. The record should
show no obvious signs of wear. The sleeve should have no more than the
most minor defects, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of
slight handling. An LP cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits
or other noticeable defects. The same should be said of any other
inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves, postcards, booklets etc.
Very Good Plus (VG+)
- A Very Good Plus record will show signs that it was played and
otherwise handled by a previous owner who looked after it carefully.
Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs
or very light scratches that don't affect the listening experience.
Slight warps that do not affect the sound are "OK". The label may have
some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The
center hole will not have been misshapen by repeated play. Picture
sleeves and LP inner sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned
up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of
wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner
indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount.
Very Good (VG)
- Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft
passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the
music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light
scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the
sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or
their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP
covers. Saying all that, it will not have all of these problems at the
same time, only two or three of them.
Good (G), Good Plus (G+)
- Good does not mean it is Bad! A record in Good or Good Plus condition
can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But
it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove
wear. A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom
or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start
to overwhelm the object.
Poor (P), Fair (F)
- The record is cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without
skipping or repeating. The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all
three seams and heavily marred by wear and writing. The LP cover barely
keeps the LP inside it. Inner sleeves are fully seam split, crinkled,
and written upon.
Generic
- A generic sleeve is either a plain sleeve or a company sleeve with
standard company artwork. A sleeve that is graded as "generic" needs no
further grading, as a generic sleeve generally adds little value to the
item and can be easily replaced.
SHIPPING:
Buyer
is responsible for paying for the delivery of the item you are bidding
for, if you are successful in winning the item i am selling and you want
to use a different postage delivery service, please contact me first
before paying.
Due to Royal Mail insurance on postage, if an item
goes past £20 (excluding postage), then Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed will have to
be added instead. Due to Paypal protection, the buyer is protected
however the seller can only be protected with mail insurance if an
item is damaged or goes missing on route to the buyer.
Items will
NOT be posted until payment has been completed, i aim to post all items usually on Friday's & Saturday's, any problems i will contact the buyer.
Please understand that taxes will apply to your order if you are buying from overseas, these are your responsibility.
I have had to add extra to international postage due to taxes applied to Ebay deductions/fees i have to pay to use this platform.
I try and keep postage to a minimum however i use professional cardboard sleeves/mailers and make sure your item is well protected so the postage price includes postage and all packing costs too.

Europe Standard = £14 (+£1.50 Per Vinyl extra)
Europe Special = £18.50 (+£1.50 Per Vinyl extra)
Rest of the World Standard = £21 (+£2 Per Vinyl extra)
Rest of the World Special = £26 (+£2 Per Vinyl extra)
Central America Standard = £23 (+£3 Per Vinyl extra)
Central America Special = £28 (+£3 Per Vinyl extra)
Sorry for the increase in postage costs however due to Royal Mail putting up thier prices and all extra fees, i have had no choice but to increase mine.
All
packages will be packaged to a professional standard, specially
designed boxes are used for all vinyl which will give extra protection
to your winning items on route, i want you to receive your items in the
same condition as to when they left my end. The vinyl will be
individually wrapped in a waterproof jacket to protect it just in case
the package gets rained on during delivery.
All
vinyl will be cleaned before sending, this means you will receive your
vinyl in a condition that should be the best condition it will ever be.
PAYMENT
Please
wait till i have issued an invoice for you if you purchase more than 1 item, which will include all
the costs eg if you decide to purchase extra items from me then i will
calculate the price as of discounts given on postage due to multiple
items bought.
I expect payment within 2-3 days of purchase unless the
buyer has contacted me beforehand, failing to do so will resort in me
reporting the incident and re-listing the item.
RETURNS
If
in the case of a return & refund, once the item(s) have been
returned safely, only then will a refund be issued on the price paid for
the cost of the vinyl (postage is non refundable). The buyer will have
to pay the return postage, which is also non refundable. The buyer is
expected to provide a reason for the return of the item(s). Please
contact me first, in the hope of reaching a mutual solution, in the case
of any issues.

send me a request for combined postage and i will work out the cheapest way I
can, in putting all your items into one parcel to keep your postal
charges down.
